Natomas District 1's, KLEAN, was created as part of my volunteer commitment as Kokomo Park Ambassador through the City of Sacramento’s Adopt-a-Park program, with support of the Office of Vice Mayor Angelique Ashby.

Kokomo's Litter-free Environment Action Network, KLEAN, is dedicated to empowering the community to 'get active' and 'give back' by participating in planned events and by volunteering to beautify the grounds of Kokomo Park. Kokomo Park is located at 4901 Kokomo Drive, Sacramento, CA 95835.

KLEAN hopes to rally the community in a collective effort to take PRIDE in Kokomo Park by helping to maintain its beauty through daily cleanings and monthly community service projects.

KLEAN understands that parks and natural areas are an important part of our community's identify; therefore, would like to help provide the community with a safe/beautiful environment for which to engage with one another.

KLEAN hopes to inspire the community to 'get active' in order to promote healthy lifestyles. A calendar of events, designed to promote and encourage physical activity, is currently being created and will be released month to month.

KLEAN's ultimate goal is to promote community service within the neighborhood, which may improve communication skills, increase self-esteem, develop leadership skills, improve job skills, and promote PRIDE within ourselves and the community.

KLEAN - "Inspiring the community one volunteer at a time".

Please "like" KLEAN (Kokomo Park) on Facebook.

Thank you for your support.
